Star Wars - Defenders of the Empire

Published:

Description

This file contains all five stories (so far) of my Defenders of the Empire! series, neatly packaged into one document for your reading pleasure and convenience. You can also read them the "classic" way, starting here: frenchsnack.deviantart.com/art… .

This is Star Wars 'fan' fiction, set in the Expanded Universe canon, and beginning four years after the battle of Yavin. The main characters are members of the Imperial Navy, as the overall title suggests. Copyright of the various planets, major galactic events, alien races etc, and of the overall setting, remains with its respective holders. All the main characters are my own, however, as are some the planets and species.

If you want to get into the Star Wars mood from the start, you can watch this opening scroll before you begin reading: goo.gl/W0ORY9 .

And if anyone really enjoys this story and would like to make me happy by doing a picture of Talana (the main character), please do feel free. :)

Alright!  Read chapter 5, so now after this, I can get to posting walls of text on your other uploads, eh? ;P

Anyway, another excellent chapter.  Seeing the situation between the two galactic superpowers from Lana's perspective, as relations settle into a more cold war sort of opposition was really fascinating.  And even a bit of uncomfortable cooperation, when it came to dealing with the slavers.

And of course, having children with strong force-sensitivity is certainly one of the greatest parenting challenges, especially when one takes a long, hard look at the 'Jedi option', which surely doesn't sound like a good environment for children.  But it's nonetheless a rather difficult question of what to do about a child's burgeoning ability to warp the laws of reality a bit.

Also, don't think I mentioned this before, but all of the characters have really good, authentic 'Star-Wars-sounding-names', which have always slightly baffled me, because I'm not sure exactly what make a name sound Star Wars-y, but I always know it when I hear/read them.  So nice work on that as well.

All in all a very nice read, not at all compromised by my incredibly slow reading. :D
