STORY 50
Joanna Milder did not know she was tiny. Smallness was a relative concept, and the entire world of which she was aware seemed fitted to her size. 'Tall' meant the slender, twenty-five centimetre-high trees which lined the street close to her parents' home. 'High' meant the opaque dome which covered her world, up above. There was, after all, nothing higher.
Nor was she aware of being food. She had no predators, in this enclosed environment which seemed quite natural to her. The few creatures sharing this habitat with her kind were insects, other creepy-crawlies, and small, harmless mammals, along with the fish in the river and poo
